About

Ms Suki was born in Hong Kong and raised in Vancouver where she started playing the piano at the age of 4. She completed Grade 10 Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) Practical Exam and achieved First-class Honors with Distinction in Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Rudiments. She has also studied up to Harmony & History and played the Associate of the Royal Conservatory of Toronto (ARCT) level. Ms Suki has started teaching before she graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Arts in 2014. As a RCM certified piano teacher, Ms Suki has over 12 years of experience in teaching piano at her home studio, local music studio and education center in Sunset, Renfrew-Collingwood and East Vancouver area. With over 30 years of playing the piano, she is knowledgeable at preparing students for their RCM Examinations. She is specialized in teaching children, teenagers and adults from the ages of 4 and up. Ms Suki’s students have achieved outstanding results in their piano and theory exams through her teaching that utilizes a broad range of techniques, methods and strategies.

With her diversified cultural and educational background, she understands the importance of utilizing various teaching approaches to cater the needs of each individual to learn and explore music. In order to pass on her piano skills and knowledge to the next generation, Ms Suki is a strong believer of self-growth and continued learning in piano pedagogy and music theories. She is passionate about developing the brain, motor skills and musical interest of children through learning the piano.

As a creative, self-motivated and observant piano instructor, Ms Suki always maintains a positive and encouraging attitude to help students stay motivated in the learning process. She takes “Practice makes perfect!” as her teaching motto.

張淑怡老師畢業於卑斯大學，主修社會學學士學位，並於2010年完成加拿大皇家音樂學院十級文憑試以及預備考取演奏級別（張淑怡老師/Suki Cheung ）從4歲開始就對彈鋼琴充滿熱情。她已有超過10年的鋼琴教學經驗，學生有4歲或以上包括兒童，青少年和成人。張老師同時亦為學生準備RCM考試的經驗，讓學生們得到更多對音樂藝術的成就感。

張老師是一個自我激勵和觀察力強的人。多元化的文化和教育背景，她了解利用各種教學方法讓學生學習和探索音樂的本質。為了將更好的鋼琴技巧和知識傳授給下一代，張老師仍繼續接受更多鋼琴和音樂理論教學的培訓來提高升自己。

她認為學習鋼琴不單能幫助孩子們發展大腦及運動技能，同時也是培養音樂興趣的好機會。 作為鋼琴老師，她時常保持積極和鼓勵的態度來幫助學生成長。 她最喜歡的名言是 “多練習可達致完美“。 她亦很期待能在Suki’s 音樂教室為學生帶來豐富之音樂樂趣。
